How we protect your data

This is the short version of our Privacy Policy, in plain words. If the two ever differ, the Privacy Policy is the one that counts.

What we never do

We never sell your information, and there are no ads.
What you tell Ally in your private space stays private to you. Ally only uses it to suggest rooms if you turn that setting on.
Our founder can see how often you use AllyGrounded, never what you say.
We don't keep recordings of your voice. Live calls aren't recorded, and voice notes are turned into words and then thrown away.

A photo you send in chat is kept privately so you can see it again. Only you can see it, not other members and not our team.
You can delete any photo at any time. Photos delete themselves after a year, and with your account.
Photos with nudity, and photos of IDs or bank cards, are refused and not kept.
"What's this?" photos are looked at once and never kept.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Export your data, reset Ally's memory, or turn memory off, from Settings.
Delete your account any time. Here's how. Your profile, talks, memory, photos and room memberships are deleted.
You're 18 or older. We ask your date of birth to confirm it.
