AllyGrounded vs Discord: small steady rooms vs big fast servers
Discord is excellent for gaming, creators, and big communities that move fast. It's flexible, and many servers are well run.
A support space needs different things: calm, trust, and a leader who can act right away. Here is how AllyGrounded is built for that.
The differences that matter
- Size. AllyGrounded rooms are small, up to 25 people, so everyone can be known. Big servers can move too fast for anyone to feel heard.
- Verified, persistent identity. Everyone in a room is a verified adult with one identity across AllyGrounded, so removing someone means something.
- Leader authority. A room leader can remove anyone instantly. No votes, no appeals queue.
- Tone awareness. Ally privately tells a room's leader when the tone is drifting. She never labels anyone, and private things stay private.
- No public directory. There is no list to troll. Ally recommends a room only to people it fits.
- A private place first. You begin alone with Ally, and join a room only when you're ready.
